FACE personnel have a wealth of experience in composite structural design & analysis of a wide range of components, from gas turbine intakes to aircraft wing rib structures & equipment for helicopters.
Our designers use specialised composite structural analysis tools to assess and optimise lay-ups at an early stage in the design process to reduce weight or optimise stiffness.
Through our involvement in composite materials and component research we are well placed to select the best materials for the duty and product life cycle whether it is carbon / epoxy; glass / phenolic or honeycomb sandwich based materials.
FACE utilise the latest design tools to produce 3D CAD models and lay-up tables for manufacture, we also offer support on tooling design.
Our analysis & simulation service is supported by our ability to specify qualification and materials testing to validate the components
